  2. Hi,
My name is Stephanie. I am a young person and have a disability myself. Even though I am sometimes restricted in the types of activities I can be involved in, I still try not to let it affect my everyday life and believe in living life to the full. In fact I believe that the word disability should be changed to become ability as it is not about what is stopping you from achieving what you want in life, it’s about making your life the best it can be!

I also regularly attend a theatre group in North London called the ChickenShed, which is an inclusive theatre for children and young adults of all ages and all walks of life. I thoroughly enjoy going there as it is a place where I feel comfortable to be who I am without feeling as if I need to make apologies for myself…which I sometimes do. It has also helped to improve my self confidence no end. =]
Feel free to get in touch.
Look forward to hearing from you.

  3. Hi Stephanie,
Thanks for getting in touch. I agree completely with your positive attitude – It’s all about our ability and how we make the most of that.

Would you like to contribute to the blog? If so, please email me at mark.borland@prioritytrust.org

    Thanks
    Mark
